INTRODUCTION
The Global Defense Coalition, or The Coalition for short, is the human faction of Artifisium. It's a worldwide military organization that aims to protect the humanity from external threats.
HISTORY
The Coalition was founded by the nations of the USA, Germany, Russia, China and Japan; and then supported by every nation of the world in 2046 after the aliens tried to invade Earth. The Coalition successfully repelled the invasion, forcing a total extraterrestrial retreat from Earth's orbit. Unlike the United Nations, the Coalition holds no jurisdiction over international political disputes; its sole mandate is the preservation of the human species against non-human existential threats.
Following the defeat of the extraterrestrial threat, the Coalition commissioned the creation of Generation 2 "Augenits" to rebuild society. However, peace was shattered when unit Kael initiated the Augenit Revolution. Overnight, the Coalition's own Augenit forces turned against them, plunging human civilization into chaos. The Coalition is now scrambling to mobilize its defenses against an enemy that knows their infrastructure inside and out.
